Description

Synergy designed and developed the methodology and system to prioritize the requests coming in from multiple departments based on a neutral weighting and ranking system.

Goal

The purpose of this project was to develop a method to track and rate user/project requests and status for the Information Technology (IT) department, and to prioritize the requests coming in from multiple departments based on a neutral weighting and ranking system.

Approach

Narrowed down the initial long list of factors to a shorter list of key decision making points. Determined a weighting and ranking system that would prioritize projects on factors including: importance to the organization, importance to the business unit, expected return on investment (ROI), resources required, resource availability, and other key factors.

Results

A methodology and system to prioritize the requests coming in from multiple departments based on a neutral weighting and ranking system.
